VH1 will tap 1990’s pop music star Gerardo for a new docu-series based on his life, said network officials.
Geraldo Mejia, whose Rico Suave rap song was a 1990’s hit, stars in Suave Says, which follows the exploits of the now music executive and lay pastor along with his family, said network officials. The series debuts Dec. 3.
Suave Says is executive produced by Gerardo Mejia and 51 Minds’ Christian Sarabia and Angela Aguilera, along with VH1 executive producers Susan Levison, Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly and Fernando Mills.
