Rhodes to Run Bloomberg’s Americas TV Group

David Rhodes, formerly of Fox News Channel, has been hired as head of the Americas region for Bloomberg Television, reporting to Multimedia CEO Andy Lack.

Rhodes, who was VP of news at Fox News, was responsible for all day-to-day news coverage and had been at the channel since it launched in 1996.

“David Rhodes is one of the most dynamic young minds in television news today,” Lack said in a release. “David’s news judgment, his strength as a creator and organizer, and his ability to energize a television news operation will be strong assets to Bloomberg Television as we build on the unique global infrastructure that Bloomberg has created.”

The appointment caps a Lack-led reorganization caps a reorganization that has regional managers reporting to him. These include Michael Clancy, head of Bloomberg Television in Asia; Brian Martinez, head of Bloomberg Television in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa; and Rhodes in the Americas.

Rhodes in the release called Bloomberg “a forward-thinking company and the Bloomberg Television network is equipped with the most far-reaching bureau system and most in-depth research and analytic tools in the business.”
