RHI Entertainment will exclusively produce 10 original movies for Sci Fi Channel in 2007 under terms of an agreement announced Monday.
The production company, run by Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr., reached an agreement earlier this month to produce at least 12 original TV movies and three miniseries for Hallmark Channel in 2007 (www.multichannel.com/article/CA6382251.html).
The Sci Fi agreement includes basic-cable rights for new RHI horror-thriller projects including Grizzly Rage, Maneater, Eye of the Beast, Blood Monkey and In the Spider's Web.
“RHI is an ideal partner to create the kind of exciting and action-packed quality films our audience has come to expect of our original-movie franchise," Sci Fi senior vice president of programming and original movies Thomas Vitale said in a prepared statement.
