Revolt to Debut New Music Series

Revolt will examine the concept of music genres as part of a new series premiering Nov. 16.

The five-part series, Breaking Genres, deconstructs the notion of music genres from how they begin to where they are headed, said network officials. The series will feature interview from more than 80 producers, artists and record executives including Quincy Jones, Nas, A Tribe Call Quest, 50 Cent, Ziggy Marley Common and Rick Rubin.

"Since the birth of Revolt our mission has been to uncover the untold journey of music genres," said Rahman Dukes, Revolt Head of News & Programming and Executive Producer of Breaking Genres.Breaking Genres embodies the passion and spirit of this [millennial] generation ̶ the way they think and their actions. It's a conversation that's long overdue for the masses within the music industry."
