Report: Albrecht Accused of Assault in 1991
Public-relations executives from both HBO and Time Warner refused to comment Wednesday on a Los Angeles Times story stating that HBO chairman and CEO Chris Albrecht allegedly assaulted a subordinate in 1991, resulting in a $400,000 payment to that employee by HBO.
According to the newspaper, Albrecht had a romantic relationship with employee Sasha Emerson 16 years ago. He allegedly choked that woman and HBO made the payment to buy the underling out of her contract.
Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, sources in the District Attorney's office said there still has been no decision on possible prosecution of Albrecht over a May 6 alleged assault against his current girlfriend. The case information still hasn't been provided to the D.A.'s office by the police department, according to the office of Clark County D.A. David Roger.
