Disney Channel said Tuesday that it has ordered a second season of comedy Phil of the Future.
The series stars Ricky Ullman as a 22nd-century teen whose family is stuck in the present day.
The network also announced that Michael Curtis (Friends) and Roger S.H. Schulman (The Jungle Book 2, Shrek) will join Phil of the Future as executive producers and Ivan Menchell (The Nanny) will serve as its new co-executive producer.
“In just four months, our viewer response to the series and, especially, its rising young stars has been enormous,” Disney Channel executive vice president of original programming and production Gary Marsh said in a prepared statement.
