RCN has added Interactivation-owned Mag Rack and Concert TV to its free-to-subscribers on-demand lineup.
RCN is a triple-play provider operating in Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, Pa., New York City, Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C., and is a high-capacity transport services to carrier and large enterprise customers. It is in the process of being acquired by ABRY Partners.
Mag Rack offers on-demand educational "how-to" programming in an array of categories, including kids, health, fitness, pets, magic and cooking. Concert TV airs live music performance, music documentary and lifestyle programming in genres which include rock, soul, jazz and hip hop.
Interactivation, based in New York, is a pure-play video-on-demand programmer that is adapting interactive marketing to its programming.
