TVG launched an educational Web site aimed at cultivating new horse-racing fans and giving them a chance to compete free-of-charge.

The Gemstar-TV Guide International-owned network said ( will teach handicapping techniques in real-time with live races.

“One of the major challenges in marketing horseracing to new fans is the intimidation factor,” TVG general manager David Nathanson said in a prepared statement. “ takes the apprehension out of the game, allows people to learn at their own pace and makes participating fun and rewarding.”
