Halfway through its fourth campaign, Oxygen's Bad Girls Club became the network's first telecast to surpass the 2 million-viewer plateau.
In turn, NBC Universal renewed the reality show for a fifth season, which will migrate to Miami from Los Angeles.
The Jan. 19 episode, the season's seventh of 13 installments, set a record for the women's targeted service by averaging 2.09 million watchers, according to Nielsen data, while also setting marks across all key demos.
With 1.38 million adults 18-to-49 watchers, the show became the sixth in Oxygen history -- and the fifth Bad Girls Club episode this season -- to surmount the 1 million mark with that key demo, according to network officials. By totaling 1.05 million women of that age, the show also became Oxygen's first to cross that 1-million threshold.
Elsewhere, the Jan. 19 telecast scored with 978,000 persons 18 to 34, including 755,000 females of that age.
Compared to the prior week's episode, Bad Girls Club notched a 22% gain among persons 18 to 49 (up from 1.13 million on Jan. 12); 27% among women 18 to 49 (823,000); 25% among women 18 to 34 (606,000); and 21% among viewers (1.73 million).
Bunim-Murray, the producers (The Real World), of Bad Girls Club, is currently casting for the new season and looking for some local flavor, holding the call in Miami on Jan. 23 at Gordon Biersch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"Our audience has made Bad Girls Club our biggest hit ever on air and on line - and it keeps getting bigger, week to week, season to season," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, senior vice president, original programming and development for Oxygen Media, in a statement."So what better spot to continue the party than in Miami?"
