Outdoor Is In for 4Q, 2005

Outdoor Channel Holdings Inc. posted solid results for the fourth quarter and full-year 2005.

The parent company of The Outdoor Channel, Outdoor Channel 2 HD and Outdoor Channel On- Demand said fourth-quarter revenues were up 12% to $11.4 million from $10.2 million in the prior-year period. Advertising revenue -- primarily from the sale of advertising time on its flagship network -- also rose 12% to $6.6 million from $5.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2004. Subscriber fees jumped 13.8% to $4.1 million from $3.6 million. And net income for the period was $1.2 million, or $0.05 per diluted share, compared with $1.6 million ($0.07) in the previous-year quarter.

For the full year, total revenues increased 7.4% to $42.9 million from $40 million in 2004; ad sales climbed 4.4% to $22.8 million; subscriber fees were up 15.2% to $15.4 million; and net income was $2.5 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, versus a net loss of $24.2 million ($1.51) in 2004.
