Now MTV’s Faking the Video

MTV: Music Television’s new hidden-camera reality series, Faking the Video, debuts Monday, May 24 at 10:30 p.m.

The plot: Six Hollywood hopefuls come to Los Angeles from across the country for what they think is a career break of a lifetime and the opportunity to work on a huge music video for MTV. But the entire production -- the song, the crew, the artists -- is a giant hoax designed to determine which of the production assistants will survive the “shoot from hell” and get their big break.

The winning PA will actually get to work with music-video director Wayne Isham -- who has worked on videos by Moby, Sheryl Crow, Britney Spears and Kid Rock, among others -- on a real video production.

Bubba Sparxxx, JC Chasez, Michelle Branch, Monica, Nick Lachey, Omarion and Sleepy Brown will appear during the series.
