Nick’s ‘Kids’ Choice Sports 2014’ Awards Scores 2.3 Million Viewers
Nick’s first annual Kids’ Choice Sports 2014 last night scored with audiences and kids, averaging 2.3 million viewers, said network officials.
The show, hosted by Michael Strahan (Live With Kelly and Michael), also drew 1.2 million kids 2-11 -- an increase of 52% over last year -- as well as 1 million kids 6-11, up 68% compared to the same period last year. The special also edged out the audience for ESPN’s July 16 sports-themed ESPY Awards, which averaged 2.2 million viewers, according to Nick.
Among the sports personalities appearing during the Kids’ Choice Sports 2014 were NBA stars Dwayne Wade and Kevin Durant; Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas; NFL stars Victor Cruz and soccer star David Beckham.
