New York Regional Sports Nets Tally 108 New York Emmy Nods

Regional sports networks serving the New York DMA will be very well-represented during the upcoming local Emmy Awards.
The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced that MSG Media earned 52 New York Emmy nominations, Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network grabbed 31 nods and SportsNet New York garnered 25.
The awards recognize television and advanced media programs produced for telecast in New York state and northern New Jersey that aired between Sept. 1, 2007 and Aug. 31, 2008. The 52nd annual New York Emmy Awards will be announced Sunday March 29 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square in Manhattan.
For MSG Media, the 52 nominations matched the number it received during 2008. With 45, MSG received more nominations that any Big Apple TV network this year, while sister service MSG Plus received five. In addition, www.MSG.Com scored a couple of nods.
Among YES's Emmy total were a trio for content on YESNetwork.com, and eight nominations for bio series Yankeeography, which is produced in partnership with Major League Baseball Productions.
SNY, which received nods for sports analysts for the work of Harold Reynolds, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling and regularly scheduled programs for Mets Pre Game Live and Street Games, episode 2, also had five nominations for work on www. SNY.tv.
