The N, Nickelodeon’s evening network for tweens and teens, is rolling out a trio of series this summer.
The service -- known as Noggin by day when it serves as an educational outlet for preschoolers -- will unveil eight new episodes of its popular series Degrassi: The Next Generation beginning June 4.
The N goes reality July 2 with the premiere of its battle-of-the-sexes series, Girls V. Boys Hawaii. Shot on location in Kona, a pair of three-team squads will vie for a grand prize of $30,000 over eight half-hour episodes.
And O’Grady, The N’s first animated series, bows four weeks later. Billed as a cross between Friends and The Twilight Zone, the 13-episode series revolves around four self-centered high-school students who must deal with the reality of their teen-age existence while putting up with the “weirdness” that afflicts their town.
