Netflix Orders Second Season Of ‘Castlevania’

Netflix has greenlit a second season of animated series Castlevania.

The series, based on the popular video series of the same name, launched its first season on Netflix July 7. Castlevania will double its episode run in its second season to eight from four, according to company officials.

Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy that follows the last surviving member of a disgraced clan who is trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself.

The series is produced by Frederator Studios under the umbrella of parent company WOW! Unlimited Media, and is executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Adi Shankar and Fred Seibert.
