NESN Hires Davis to Bolster News Roster

NESN has hired Sarah Davis to work on its news programming.

Davis, who comes to the cable home of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins from Rogers Sportsnet in Toronto, where she served as a host of Soccer Central and Fox Soccer News, will begin working as a reporter, anchor and host in mid-February. Her new gig will include providing additional coverage on NESN Sports Today, the network’s popular nightly sports news program.

Davis also served as host of UFC pre-fight shows and as the game-day host for the Toronto Rock, a professional indoor lacrosse franchise. Her experience also includes serving as entertainment host on Gate 5 Live on Leafs TV and NBA Canada TV before Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors games. She has also hosted intermission segments and interviews during Toronto Marlies hockey games, the Maple Leaf’s AHL affiliate.

“Sarah brings an upbeat and engaging personality with a passion for sports that should quickly endear her to fans of New England sports,” said Joseph Maar, NESN’ vice president of programming and production/executive producer.  “We are excited to add another reporter of Sarah’s caliber to our talented and still growing team of sports anchors, hosts and reporters.”
