NECN Going Live at RNC

New England Cable News will head down the Eastern Seaboard to New York for the Republican National Convention.

The network will air live coverage of all sessions from MadisonSquareGarden Aug. 30-Sept. 2, from 7 p.m.-midnight each day, along with a special session Monday from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

R.D. Sahl, Amanda Rosseter and Chet Curtis will call the action from NECN’s studio, while political reporter Alison King and NewsNight host Jim Braude will report from the network’s skybox inside MSG. Reporter Brad Puffer will also be in the New York.

“As the region's only 24-hour news channel, NECN is determined to be the destination for anyone in New England who wants the best, most up-to-the-minute coverage of this important event,” vice president of news and station manager Charles J. Kravetz said in a prepared statement.

NECN is a partnership between Comcast Corp. and the Hearst Corp., and the network serves more that 2.9 million cable subscribers in 940 communities.
