NBC U Inks Monk Syndication Pacts

USA Network’s Monk secured broadcast syndication on TV stations covering more than 80% of the country for weekend runs starting in fall 2008, officials said Tuesday.
NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution sold Monk to stations from NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, Hearst-Argyle Television, Tribune Broadcasting, Fisher Communications, E.W. Scripps, Raycom Media, Belo, Post-Newsweek and more.
It was previously announced that Monk had been sold to WNBC-TV New York, KNBC-TV Los Angeles and WFLD-TV Chicago for weekend off-network syndication runs starting September 2008.
New markets include WPHL-TV in Philadelphia; WSBK-TV in Boston; KNTV-TV in San Francisco; WFAA-TV in Dallas; WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C.; KPRC-TV in Houston; and KOMO-TV in Seattle.
Monk finished its fifth season averaging a 4.1 rating, up 26% from its first season on USA.
