Nat Geo Big Winner At News Documentary Emmys

National Geographic Channel was cable's big winner last night during the 32nd annual news and documentary Emmy Awards ceremony held in New York.

Nat Geo took home seven awards, including two for its special Restrepo: Afghan Outpost, whichwon the award for Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story, Long Form, and an editing award for Outstanding Individual Achievement In A Craft, according to The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Discovery Channel took home three awards, while CNN was honored with two Emmys.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to legendary broadcaster Larry King, and presented by Brian Williams, anchor and managing editor, NBC Nightly News, according to the Academy.
