mun2 Television has taken its first step into the syndication world by signing a deal for WBFS-TV in Miami to air its signature music show, The Roof.
mun2’s partner in providing The Roof to the UPN station is Perfect Image Film and Video Production, the leading production house targeting the young urban Latin market.
The half-hour syndicated version of The Roof airs every Saturday at 10:30 p.m. on the TV station, which is known as UPN 33 and serves the Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Fla., DMA.
The show incorporates live DJs and urban dancers and features weekly reports from top urban markets such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
“We’re very pleased that our signature program is now being launched into the broadcast market in order to reach a broader audience,” mun2 vice president of programming Yolanda Foster said in a prepared statement. “This only validates the importance and size of this valuable yet underserved segment of the Hispanic population.”
