mtvU announced the performers for its 2006 mtvU Woodie Awards Tuesday.
MTV Networks’ college-targeted network described the third-annual Woodie Awards as “the only awards honoring the music voted best by the college audience.”
The event will be held Oct. 25 at Roseland Ballroom in New York, and it will air on mtvU and the network’s Web site (www.mtvu.com) Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. (EST). MTV will present a half-hour version Nov. 4 at 10 p.m., as will MTV2 Nov. 5 at 11 p.m.
Among artists scheduled to perform: Beck, Imogen Heap, TV on the Radio and Gym Class Heroes.
