MTV2 will look to tickle the funny bones of its viewers with the launch of two new series and the renewals of Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out and Guy Code, the network said Tuesday.
The two new comedy series include Joking Off, in which teams of comedians compete to make jokes off of ridiculous social media content, and Number 2 News, in which comic news teams turns Internet-based content into a funny news story.
The network will also develop a talk show pilot, Uncommon Sense With Charlamange, starring Guy Code favorite Charlamagne tha God.
In addition, the network has also renewed series Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out for a seventh season and Guy Code for a fifth season.
"With Wild ‘N Out’ and Guy Code we created a home where comedians could break through and define the voice of MTV2,” said Chris McCarthy, General Manager of MTV2, mtvU and Logo TV. “Now with MTV2’s Joking Off and Number 2 News, we’re cultivating new playgrounds to discover rising talent – and build on the network’s historic ratings."
