MTV Films and Paramount Pictures announced Monday that they have entered into a two-year, first-look deal with Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx and his producing partners, Jaime Rucker King and Marcus King.
As part of the deal, Foxx, King and Rucker King will provide services connected to developing, supervising, producing and consulting on theatricals. Foxx might also star in the movies.
Among the 20 theatricals MTV Films has released since its establishment in 1995 in conjunction with Paramount are Napoleon Dynamite, Coach Carter and this year’s remake of The Longest Yard.
Upcoming projects include: Get Rich or Die Tryin’, featuring 50 Cent; horror-genre entry Beneath; and action film Aeon Flux, starring Academy Award-winner Charlize Theron.
