Momoda Will Integrate OWN's Marketing

Continuing to staff up, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network has named Meredith Momoda vice president, integrated marketing.

In her new role, Momoda, who had been senior vice president of integrated marketing at sister service TLC, will serve as OWN’s executive in charge of product integrations. She will also act as the primary liaison between OWN’s advertising sales, marketing, and programming departments, as well as the various production companies, agencies, or other entities on topics involving branded entertainment.

The network is expected to bow sometime in 2009.

“Meredith has crafted, negotiated, and coordinated integrated marketing initiatives in her career that represent the industry’s ‘gold standard,’ ” said OWN president Robin Schwartz in a statement. “Her expertise and fresh ideas are a perfect match for OWN, and I look forward to her joining our team.”

Prior to her work with Discovery Communications, which included working on TLC’s multiplatform partnership with Real Simple, Momod was the executive director of advertising solutions for Yahoo! Network division, overseeing the creation of sponsorship packages behind original programming and such special events as the Olympics and the Academy Awards.

Before that, Momoda was vice president of integrated marketing and promotions for ABC Television, overseeing promotional activity for primetime and the Disney Kids Network.
