MLB Network Heats Up Stove Report
Sports Illustrated will have a major presence at the MLB Network, as baseball writer Tom Verducci joins the magazine's reporter Jon Heyman as “insiders” on the rookie service.
Both Verducci and Heyman will be at bat when MLB Network throws out its first pitch on Jan. 1 at 6 p.m. with MLB Hot Stove. The SI baseball duo will be joined by Victor Rojas, who will host the show’s premiere, along with Al Leiter, Harold Reynolds and Barry Larkin, as well as reporters Hazel Mae and Trenni Kusnierek, and special guest, Jimmy Rollins, the shortstop of the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies.
The following night at 7 p.m., Hot Stove will feature the same lineup minus Verducci, and with the Minnesota Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer pinch-hitting for Rollins in the guest hole.
