Minacom debuted its Zoey interactive voice-over-Internet-protocol test agent Tuesday.
The company said Zoey is an automated interactive-voice-response agent customers can call to test their own service quality. Minacom added that subscribers interact with Zoey to check their caller ID and to evaluate noise, echo, speech quality, touch-tone and fax-transmission quality.
If a VoIP-service problem is found, Zoey can transfer the call to customer support, along with detailed test results that help technical staff to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible, the vendor said.
