Mexicanal Multicasts With Journal Broadcast Group

The Mexicanal Television Network reached a multicasting agreement with Journal Broadcast Group, the owner and operator of 11 television and 35 radio stations, officials said Monday.

As early as the third quarter, viewers with the ability to receive digital television multicast channels in Journal Broadcast Group markets in Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Calif., Tucson, Ariz., and Boise, Idaho, will be able to view Mexicanal  Network.

The service's programming comes directly from regions across Mexico, such as Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacan, Nuevo Leon, State of Mexico, Aguascalientes, Campeche, Yucatan, Guerrero, Hidalgo and San Luis Potosí.

As a result of the deal, the Mexicanal Network stands to increase its reach by roughly 1.2 million viewers.
