Sí TV is having Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with Jesus Christ.
The English-language Latino network is teaming up radio host Neil Saavedra, who portrays Jesus Christ every Sunday morning on Los Angeles radio station KFI AM 640, with Idalis De Leon, a pop icon who got her start as an MTV: Music Television VJ, on its new series, which debuts Nov 19.
“These two brash Latino hosts will take the pulse of America one meal at a time as they serve up hot-button topics like prisoner rights, abortion and gay marriage to restaurant patrons at breakfast, lunch and dinner at their favorite eateries, from Carnitas Michoacan in East L.A. to Joseph’s Cafe in Hollywood,” the network said in a prepared statement.
“This show takes the issues to the street to see what your average Joe thinks of our government,” Sí TV chairman Jeff Valdez said in a prepared statement. “Idalis and Neil represent political extremes, which makes for passionate, heated table talk.”
