McCain to Stand In with mtvU
By MCN Staff published
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was more than qualified to Stand In as an instructor for a “U.S. Government & Constitutional Development” class.
McCain visited the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., with mtvU cameras in tow for the 24-hour college network’s Stand In series. The installment will air Monday, May 2 at noon (EST).
“It is an honor to be a part of mtvU’s Stand In,” McCain said in a prepared statement. “The Naval Academy is the college home to some of the finest young people in the country, and I am proud to call it my alma mater.”
McCain became the latest addition to mtvU’s Stand In roster, joining Global YouthAIDS Ambassador and actress Ashley Judd; Basketball Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; music mogul Russell Simmons and Reverend Run; Nas and his father, Olu Dara; Snoop Dogg; Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.); Pulitzer Prize-winning author Frank McCourt; and The Rev. Jesse Jackson.
