Emmys 2018: Matthew Rhys Pulls off Upset in Winning Emmy for lead actor in a drama series

The Americans’ Matthew Rhys was the surprise winner in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.

Rhys, who played Philip Jennings in FX’s recently ended espionage series, topped last year’s winner Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), along with Ed Harris and Jeffrey Wright (Westworld); Milo Ventimiglia (This is Us), and Jason Bateman (Ozark).
