Mark Dunford To Run Ex-Insight Systems For TWC

Mark Dunford, Time Warner Cable's regional VP of operations in Ohio, will also oversee the former Insight properties TWC has acquired as former Insight senior VP of operations John W. "Woody" Hutton has moved over to Charter Communications.

Dunford is a 25-year veteran at TWC who retains his title as RVP of operations for the Mid-Ohio Area. He will oversee the Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio systems, with about 670,000 video customers (760,000 customers in all), acquired from Insight (they came under the TWC fold in February). He also oversees Kentucky properties TWC acquired from NewWave Communications.

Dunford's time at TWC included a stint as president of the Albany, N.Y., division in addition to various posts in the company's Columbus-based Ohio operations.

Hutton, meanwhile, has joined Charter as RVP of operations for Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana.

Hutton's cable industry career spans 27 years, including 13 years at Insight. Earlier cable jobs were at Comcast, Jones Intercable/Spacelink and Centel Cable Television. He and his wife, Sarah, are relocating to Greenville, S.C., from the Lexington, Ky., area, Charter said.
