Lyle To Head Fox Look

David Lyle is giving reality a new look.
The veteran executive who most recently served as president of Fox Reality Channel, which has been converted to Nat Geo Wild, is now heading a new business unit centered on the international licensing and production of unscripted fare from Fox Broadcasting Co. and Fox Cable Networks

Lyle will serve as president of Fox Look, reporting directly to Fox Networks Group chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra. He will also work closely with Marion Edwards, President of International Television.
Fox Look's will aim to license formats internationally, form partnerships with international production companies to produce unscripted formats, and/or establish new production entities in various territories to create local versions of some of the top shows in the U.S. The new unit will also assume management of the existing formats in the Twentieth Century Fox library, including prominent shows such as Temptation Island, Beauty and the Geek, Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé and Celebrity Spelling Bee.
Lyle, whose career spans 25 years across more than 20 countries, also served as president of entertainment at FremantleMedia North America, worldwide head of acquisition and development at Pearson Television, and as head of development at Australia's Nine Network.
"Unscripted programming provides compelling entertainment that's very cost effective," said Lyle. "As international television networks, and their needs for programming, continue to grow, Fox Look will be uniquely positioned to meet that demand."
Noted Vinciquerra: "There is a strong demand for this type of content internationally and Fox LOOK was created to maximize our footprint in this ever-growing category. David Lyle is an expert in the international format business and his passion for the industry will provide us with a tremendous advantage."
