Lifetime Sets Labor Day Marathon

Lifetime Television will celebrate Labor Day weekend with a four-day movie marathon, the network said Monday.

The programming stunt will feature 27 films, with stars including Uma Thurman, Kim Basinger, Diane Keaton, Elisha Cuthbert, Laura Dern, Bridget Fonda and Kim Delaney.

The marathon will conclude with the world premiere of Speak -- starring Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Perkins, Steve Zahn and Hallee Hirsch -- Monday, Sept. 5 at 9 p.m. (EST/PST), which will simultaneously air on Showtime.

Following the holiday weekend, Lifetime will also present the network debuts of four films Tuesday, Sept. 6-Friday, Sept. 9. The films are, respectively: On Hostile Ground, Thirst, The Incredible Mrs. Ritchie and Dancing at the Harvest Moon.
