Lifetime’s Wagner to Be Honored

Lifetime Television executive vice president of public affairs Meredith Wagner is a real “Trailblazer.”

Wagner will be honored for creating Lifetime’s childcare-advocacy initiative, “Our Lifetime Commitment: Caring for Kids,” at the Pi Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.’s “2004 Community Trailblazer Awards,” to be held Saturday.

The recognition is part of AKA’s “Black & White Harlequin Ball Benefit: Let No Child Be Left Behind.”

Other honorees include: Andrea Anthony, executive director, Day Care Council of New York Inc.; Marilyn P. Bartlett, deputy assistant commissioner for the New York City Administration for Children’s Services’ Head Start Program; Doris Connors, former executive administrator, Harlem Hospital; and Mary Redd, president and CEO, Steinway Child and Family Services Inc.
