Lifetime’s Dawn Anna Pulls 3.9
Lifetime Television continued its roll with original telefilms Monday night, as Dawn Anna, starring Debra Winger, grabbed a 3.9 household rating and some 4.4 million viewers.
That performance made it basic cable’s top telefilm to date in 2005, according to Lifetime executives, as well as among women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
The film -- in which Winger portrays a high-school teacher, coach and mother of four who must overcome a brain condition and the death of her youngest child -- marked Lifetime’s third consecutive original movie to garner more than 4 million viewers, joining the recently aired Plain Truth and Identity Theft, the network said.
