Lifetime Promotes Rein to General Counsel

Lifetime Entertainment Services promoted Linda Rein to the position of senior vice president and general counsel, officials said Wednesday.

Based in New York, Rein will oversee all legal matters for Lifetime.

She joined Lifetime as vice president of business and legal affairs in January 2001. Prior to that, she was associate general counsel at Columbia House from 1999 to 2000, and vice president of business and legal affairs at BMG Classics from 1995 to 1998. In both positions, Rein’s duties included negotiating and drafting talent, production, licensing and marketing agreements, supervising litigation and contract administration and responsibility for trademark and copyright matters.

Before that, she was senior associate at Grubman Indursky & Schindler from 1988 to 1994.

Rein graduated from Brooklyn Law School with a Juris Doctor and from Barnard College with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
