CBS affiliate KOIN is the only broadcaster in the Portland, Ore., market with no cable carriage of its HDTV feed.
The broadcaster wants Comcast Corp. to pay a fee for its HDTV feed, and the MSO has balked thus far, AP reported.
"I don't think we should be expected to give it away," KOIN general manager David Lippoff told The Oregonian.
The two parties are not currently negotiating, and neither side gave any indication that it expects to resolve the dispute soon, according to AP.
KOIN parent Emmis Communications Corp. is seeking HDTV fees from cable companies in all 14 markets where it owns TV stations and, so far, only one has agreed to carry its HD programming, AP reported.
