Karmazin: I’d Hire Imus Again
Sirius Satellite CEO Mel Karmazin said Tuesday that he would be open to the idea of hiring former CBS Radio and MSNBC morning man Don Imus to host a program on Sirius.
“The fact that he had been fired wouldn’t stop me from having Don work for me again. He makes you a lot of money,” Karmazin, a former CBS chairman and CEO, said during an interview on Fox News Channel Tuesday.
MSNBC and CBS Radio dropped Imus in April, after he referred to the Rutgers University women’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hos” during his morning show.
While Imus hasn’t said anything publicly about his future since he was fired, speculation has increased in recent weeks that the shock jock may be looking to return to the airwaves.
