The Gosselin clan, which last time out set a ratings for TLC, will return for an eco-friendly one-hour special later this month.
On Jon & Kate Plus 8 Go Green!, the clan will welcome a special guest from a Discovery Communications sister service to their home -- Planet Green's Renovation Nation host Steve Thomas.
Throughout the special, premiering April 19 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) Thomas and his crew help the Gosselins transform their new house into an eco-savvy home. He also shows the family how to translate these changes into bigger savings for them as well as the environment.
The fourth-season finale of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on March 23 was the series' most-watched episode ever with 4.6 million viewers.
The fifth-season opener is slated for May 25, according to a TLC spokeswoman.
