TV Guide Channel will set up shop for TV Guide Studios in the heart of Tinseltown.
The network has secured a deal for a studio that formerly housed On-Air with Ryan Seacrest in the Hollywood & Highland entertainment complex in Hollywood.
The studio -- featuring a view of the world-famous Hollywood sign -- will serve as home base for TV Guide Channel's original series and specials.
With a main studio recognized for its “fishbowl” design, TV Guide Channel's new set is adjacent to the world-famous Kodak Theatre, the location of the Academy Awards ceremonies. Also nearby are Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the El Capitan Theatre.
"In our ongoing efforts to guide viewers to the best of entertainment, we've positioned ourselves -- both literally and figuratively -- at the very heart of Hollywood and at the center of today's vast and sometimes overwhelming television universe," TV Guide Channel senior vice president of programming and production Danila Koverman said in a prepared statement.
Elsewhere, TV Guide Channel executives said the network would cover the 32nd annual American Music Awards with a two-hour preshow special.
Live at the American Music Awards will air from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. (PST) Nov. 14, hosted by correspondents Madison Michele and Chris Booker reporting from backstage at the Shrine Auditorium. ABC will air the awards program, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
