Holbrook To Guest Star On FX's Sons Of Anarchy

Five-time Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Hal Holbrook will appear in a guest role on FX's motorcycle club series, Sons of Anarchy.

Holbrook is slated for a four-episode arc at Nate Madock, the father of Gemma Morrow Teller (Katey Sagal), with whom he reconnects through coincidental circumstances. As last season ended Teller was on the run after being framed for murder.

Production of season three begins on Friday, with FX ordering 13 episodes.  The second season of the series, created by Kurt Sutter who serves as executive producer, and produced by Fox 21 and FX Productions, ranked as the highest-rated single season of an original series in FX history. During its 13-episode sophomore run from Sept. 8 through Dec. 1, 2009, Sons averaged 4.48 million total viewers and 3.16 million adults 18 to 49, respective gains of 72% and 81% versus its first-season averages. FX officials said Sons was basic-cable's top scripted series for 2009 in the delivery of men 18 to 49, with 1.98 million of those watchers on average.
