HGTV Sets Wednesday Night Record

HGTV said it scored a record ratings haul on Wednesday night (Jan. 28) with new episodes of Property Brothers and House Hunters leading the Scripps Networks outlet to a 0.75 rating among persons ages 25-54 and a 1.07 rating among women in that age bracket. The network said it had more than 6.7 million total viewers on the night. Property Brothers at 9 p.m. had a 0.85 rating among P25-54, the second-highest rating ever for that series, and House Hunters at 10 p.m. had its best rating since January 2010 with a 1.05 rating among P25-54.

Overall, HGTV’s Wednesday night grew 39% over last year and 42% over the prior 13-week average, the network said in a release. It said the Wednesday-night ratings helped HGTV strengthen its position as a top-10 cable network, ranking No. 3 in prime among P25-54 ratings and No. 2 for prime among W25-54 ratings.
