HDNet Movies Sets 1980’s Movie Marathon In June

HDNet Movies will pay homage to 1980s films as part of a month-long movie programming stunt in June, the network said Monday.

The network’s Totally 80’s Month movie stunt, hosted by actor Judge Reinhold, will feature a classic 1980s movie each night throughout the month. Movies scheduled to air during the marathon include St. Elmo’s Fire, Throw Momma From The Train, The Big Chill, Teen Wolf, Arthur and The Outsiders, said the network.

The Totally 80’s Month marathon follows other recently hosted movie stunts on the network including a Police Academy marathon with Michael Winslow, an Election Movie Marathon with Dan Rather, and the "Not So Silent Nights" concert film event with Tommy Shaw of STYX.

“With their over-the-top stories and relatable characters, it’s easy to see why so many of these unforgettable ‘80s films continue to resonate with our audience,” said Rachael Weaver, General Manager of HDNet Movies in a statement. “HDNet Movies is proud to have Judge Reinhold host, as we bring some of the decade’s most iconic classics back to the forefront for loyal fans to reconnect with, and for a new generation to discover.”
