HBO Wins Several Peabody Awards
The University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication announced the recipients of the 66th Annual Peabody Awards.
Cable’s winners were: mun2, For My Country? Latinos in the Military; HBO, Baghdad ER; HBO, When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts; Showtime, Brotherhood; HBO, Billie Jean King: Portrait of a Pioneer; HBO, Elizabeth I; Cartoon Network, Boondocks: Return of the King; BBC America, Gideon’s Daughter; Food Network, Good Eats; HBO, The Music in Me; and The Independent Film Channel, Beyond Borders: Personal Stories from a Small Planet.

Bob Costas will host the awards ceremony Monday, June 4, at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
The Peabody Awards -- established in 1940 and administered by the Grady College -- recognize distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by stations, networks, producing organizations and individuals.
