HBO, Showtime Dominate Comedy Category at SAG Awards

The Screen Actors Guild Awards kicked off Sunday night with cable pay TV services HBO and Showtime dominating the comedy series category.

HBO’s Veep won for outstanding performance by an ensamble in a comedy series, beating out ABC' Black-ish, HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Netflix's Glow and Orange Is The New BlackVeep also won the statuette for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series for series star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

William H. Macy won the SAG Award for outstanding male performance in a comedy for his role in Showtime’s Shameless.
