HBO has renewed its freshman comedy series High Maintenance for a second season, the network said Wednesday.

The six-part series, which follows the exploits of a marijuana dealer and his customers, debuted on HBO Sept. 16.

“The response to the new episodes exceeded all of our expectations,” said Casey Bloys, president of HBO Programming in a statement. “Ben and Katja are brilliant, unconventional storytellers and we’re excited to see what they dream up for us in our second season.”
