Hasselhoff Subject Of Comedy Central's Next Roast

The Hoff is going to get hammered -- by comics and celebrities as Comedy Central's next roastee.

David Hasselhoff has been announced as Comedy Central's next target, with the roast scheduled to be taped this summer in Los Angeles. The Comedy Central Roast Of David Hasselhoff is scheduled to air on Sunday, Aug.15 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Hasselhoff is the latest icon to join the network's roast roster that includes Joan Rivers, Larry The Cable Guy, Pam Anderson, Bog Saget, Flavo Flav and the Emmy-nominated send-up of William Shatner.

"I'm honored that Comedy Central is going to get ‘Hoff' on me," said Hasselhoff in a statement. "I have always been a major fan of Roasts, dating back to the days of the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts. Laughter is the best medicine. Bring it on! I'm ready to take the heat."
