ESPN Consumer Products, in conjunction with Hallmark, is launching a line of products that will be exclusively available at 3,700 Hallmark Gold Crown stores in time to shop for Father’s Day June 17.
For Father’s Day and beyond, the ESPN-themed line includes serving trays, pint glasses, chip bowls, mugs and frames, as well as greetings cards and stationery items, that feature graphics, trivia and expressions that are perfect for sports fans.
These items, which will be available starting May 18, will have dedicated front-of-the-store positioning through June.
The ESPN Consumer Products-Hallmark relationship was established in 2004 and in 2005, when the two soft-launched a line of greeting cards in Hallmark’s Gold Crown stores. The initial line of cards included BASS- and X Games-themed looks and messages.
Last Christmas, the two successfully debuted an ESPN holiday ornament that featured elements from various sports and played the SportsCenter theme. The ornament was one of Hallmark’s best-selling Keepsake Ornaments of the season. The companies plan to launch a new version of the ESPN Holiday Ornament, in addition to a BASS-themed holiday ornament, this Christmas.
