Hallmark to Air FoxFaith Theatrical Film

Hallmark Channel will put its faith in the long-term appeal of Christian-based theatrical film Love’s Abiding Joy.

The network in December will air the movie -- based on Christian novelist Janette Oke's book series, Love Comes Softly -- two months after the film’s limited run in theaters, according to Hallmark executive vice president of programming David Kenin.

Love’s Abiding Joy -- distributed under News Corp.’s new Christian-based division, FoxFaith -- will debut Oct. 6 in select theatres under the Carmike Theaters and AMC theater chains reaching 40% of the United States. Hallmark will then debut the film Dec. 16, according to Kenin.

The movie continues the inspirational story of settlers in the Wild West, according to FoxFaith.
