GSN, Jerry Springer Expand ‘Baggage’ Franchise
GSN will launch a spinoff series to its reality series Baggage in 2015, the network said Tuesday.
The new series, Baggage OnThe Road, will take the comedic dating show on the road, beginning with Austin, Tx and Baton Rouge, La. Baggage host Jerry Springer will also host the new series, which is set to premiere on GSN next year, said network officials.
“With Baggage On The Road, GSN is taking production out of the big studio environment and bringing it directly to towns and cities across the US,” said GSN’s executive vice president of programming Amy Introcaso-Davis in a statement. “Our original Baggage series remains extremely popular and we are thrilled that the one and only Jerry Springer is back to guide us on this unpredictable tour.”
